After installing HotRez to your computer, please follow the step by step instructions below, to easily setup and adjust the software for your hotel / resort. Remember, you will only have to enter this data once and it will make organizing your bookings and reservations much easier for a long period of time.

To read this manual and simultaneously work on HotRez use the “Alt+Tab” function on Windows® to jump between the programs .

Most modules have one or more example files entered by default. Overwrite those files with your own data. Do not just delete them, as some modules need at least one entry to function correctly. You may notice that in these modules you cannot delete the example file.

Note: Most keyboard shortcuts are disabled in HotRez . The software provides Copy and Paste buttons in fields with text entries. Like most database software, you need to use the ENTER button on the number pad of your keyboard to confirm an entry. (The return button is needed for line breaks. Alternatively you can also use ctrl + return if you work on a notebook or simply use the mouse to click the “OK” button.

Use ctrl + return also as a troubleshooter in the unlikely event that the program stops functioning (hangs).
